Laphroaig Select 🏴
Now I am not the greatest fan of peaty whisky, but that being said, this one I can stomach. I actually bought this for an experiment. I wanted to blend an Islay and a Bourbon to see the outcome. Didn’t do it in the end, just left the bottle in the cabinet.
The Whisky Exchange Says:
Laphroaig Select is aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts, American white oak (we suspect some of this is virgin oak), hogsheads seasoned with Pedro Ximenez, quarter casks and first fill bourbon casks. This results in a restrained and toned down version of this Islay classic.
